We have always been very community focused and over the years we have been happy to give our support to Thames Search & Rescue - Craig Murch, the business owner, was heavily involved in this for over twenty years, seventeen of which he served as President and was usually involved in the physical search, rescue or recovery of those in need. He was also involved in various weather events when he was a member of Civil Defence. He has had pleasure in helping many people through his work with the Mountain Safety Council. A past employee was a local Volunteer Fire Fighter and a current team member is a member of the local Coast Guard. We have had much pleasure in giving something back to our community each year by donating our time to assist with the Thames Christmas Display held in the Thames Civic Centre, lighting up the Norfolk Pine at Kuranui Bay for the past seven or so years and helping various other local community events. We have taken an active role as members of the Kirikiri Bird Corridor in replanting indigenous plants that will attract and support bird life in the area.
